Key Laboratory of Mine Goaf Disasters Prevention and Control, SAWS

Aiming at the mine goaf disaster prevention, this laboratory focuses on the basic research of safety technology and frontier science application including goaf detection method from the perspective of applied geophysics, goaf risk analysis method from the perspective of rock mechanics, goaf wall-rock monitoring method from the perspective of wireless Internet of Things technology, goaf surface subsidence early warning method from the perspective of microwave remote sensing, etc., fulfilling the goaf disaster prevention and control technology and equipment innovation for mines in China, providing a fairly good infrastructure and technical support for mine safety supervision and management, scientific and technological development as well as talent cultivation in China.
